Introduction to SER Africa

SER Africa is the Africa Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER Global). We champion science-based ecological restoration across the continent — connecting researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and communities who share a vision of thriving African ecosystems. From grassland rehabilitation in South Africa to mangrove restoration along the East African coast, our network spans diverse biomes and cultures, united by a common purpose: reversing degradation and building resilience.
